Dr. Stanislav Licul
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Licul is President and Chief Executive Officer of Maxtena, Inc. He is responsible for research,
development, and manufacturing of innovative antenna technologies based on differential interface and
advanced materials. His research encompasses ultra-wideband antennas, multi-band antennas, embedded
antennas, phased array antenna systems, RFIC-antenna integration techniques, and antenna measurement
techniques. Prior to founding Maxtena, Dr. Licul served as Chief Scientist of Zylaya Corp. focusing
on various antenna and wireless propagation aspects of wireless sensor networks. Dr. Licul also served
as a research engineer with Motorola EME Corporate Labs focusing on cellular phone technologies in the
areas of advanced antenna design and integration. Dr. Licul received his Ph.D. in electrical
engineering from Virginia Tech. During the course of his studies, he interned with Motorola and XM
Satellite Radio. His duties included optimization of the paging/satellite receivers and design of
antennas for satellite and mobile communications. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu and IEEE. Dr. Licul
holds two patents and has three patent pending applications.

Dr. Carlo Di Nallo
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Carlo Di Nallo received a Laurea Degree (Summa cum Laude) in Electronic Engineering and a Doctoral
Degree in Applied Electromagnetics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy. He worked as a consultant
for different companies in Italy designing, modeling and characterizing phased arrays and large reflector antennas.
Later he was with Telespazio S.p.A as a communication system engineer working on the Astrolink project.
In 2000 he joined Motorola Labs where he was responsible for investigating and providing antenna and RF
solutions for the next generations of Motorola products.
In the years with Motorola he significantly contributed to the advancement of the state of the art in
multi-band embedded antenna technologies and his ideas have been successfully implemented in millions of
products.
Dr. Di Nallo holds 8 patents and has 6 patents pending. He is the author of more than 20 journal papers and
over 50 conference papers on numerical modeling, leaky wave antennas, radiation and crosstalk phenomena in
printed circuits, dielectric resonator antennas and filters, propagation and radiation in anisotropic media,
phased arrays, novel antenna structures, compact multiband antennas and tunable antennas.
Dr. Di Nallo is a member of IEEE.

Dr. Nathan P. Cummings
Vice President of Engineering
Dr. Cummings holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. His antenna research interests include compact and
low-profile designs, reconfigurable and active designs along with integrated and conformal phased arrays. Dr. Cummings
has also been heavily involved in the area of electromagnetic interference analysis and interference mitigation techniques.
Prior to joining Maxtena, Dr. Cummings held the positions of Senior Scientist at Sciperio, Inc and Senior Principal Engineer
at ARINC, Inc. He has served as technical lead and collaborated with a wide range of commercial, military and agency
customers including the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, SOCOM, DARPA, MDA and others. Dr. Cummings is a member
of the IEEE.

Wayne Telman
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Telman holds an MBA from Troy State University and a BSBA from the University of the State of New York- Albany.
He is a graduate of the US Navy Nuclear Power School and the US Navy Electrical Engineering (ETB) School. He has
held several positions in senior management including Senior Director of Manufacturing and System Quality Assurance
for TeraHop Networks, Inc., Senior VP and General Manager of Gray Laboratories, Inc., and Staff Program Manager
for Scientific Atlanta, Inc. In his 30+ years in satellite communications, Mr. Telman has held P&L responsibility
in Fortune 500 as well as startup companies. His professional areas of accomplishment include market definition
and development, turnaround management, profitability recovery, revenue growth, and domestic/international customer relations.
